Which phones are compatible with the Qantas Wellbeing App?

iPhone users

If you have an iPhone you can track your steps using Apple’s Health App. These devices come with software that take in sensor data from the accelerometers, gyroscopes, and compasses built into your phone. The co-processor then calculates your step count so a wearable is not needed (but can still be used). To ensure that your steps are being tracked, you will need to  carry your iPhone while stepping or running. Alternatively, you can use a wearable to track your activity. Compatible wearables include an Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, or any wearable device which syncs to Apple Health. You can also sync with Strava to record your swimming and cycling. To determine whether a particular wearable device syncs to Apple Health, please check with the device manufacturer.

All iOS devices require "iOS 15.4" or later. iPads are not supported.

Android users

Android devices can track steps via the Samsung Health App, Health Connect or Google Fit App* which are free to download from the Google Play Store. You will need to carry your phone to track your steps. You can also connect directly via Fitbit, Garmin or Strava, or use any wearable device which syncs steps to Samsung Health, Health Connect or Google Fit*. To determine whether a particular wearable device syncs steps to your preferred wearable app, please check with the device manufacturer.

All Android devices require "Android 9.0" or later.

*From 2026, Google Fit will no longer sync activity data directly to the Qantas Wellbeing App. Users will be required to update to sync with Google Health Connect to continue tracking activity.
