Can I suspend my policy?

Members can apply to suspend their health insurance for reasons of financial hardship, or overseas travel. Members must be with us for 12 continuous months before being able to apply for a suspension.

You can apply to suspend your health policy for:

  • Financial hardship; you can suspend for 2-3 months. 
  • Going overseas; you can suspend for 2-24 months.

To be eligible, your premiums must be financially up-to-date. Remember while your policy is suspended, you will not be able to make any claims. 

Your policy will not resume automatically when you return from overseas - you’ll need to get in touch with us within 30 days of getting home to reactivate your policy.
