What do I need to do to remain as an eligible non-student dependant under my family policy?

Effective 1 October, if you are already a non-student dependant on an extended family policy you will not need to do anything to remain on the policy after your 25th birthday, the maximum age will automatically increase so you can be covered up until your 31st birthday if you remain eligible to do so.

To be eligible, you must satisfy the following requirements as a non-student dependant. You must:

  1. not be the policyholder;
  2. be aged between 21 and up to 31 years;
  3. not be studying full time;
  4. not be married or in a de facto relationship;

To be added as a non-student dependant to a policy, the policyholder (or spouse with authority on the policy) just needs to call us on 13 49 60 to make the changes. Please note that there may be an additional premium required which we can confirm at the time of the request.
