Does my policy cover cruises?

Cruises are not automatically covered as part of your Qantas Travel Insurance policy.

If you are going on a cruise during your trip, you can select the Cruise Cover option when purchasing a policy to include cover for things like the cancellation of your cruise before the cruise departs, missed shore excursion(s), onboard medical expenses, ship to shore evacuation, missed embarkation and cabin confinement. If you choose to pay the additional premium, Cruise Cover will be added to your Certificate of Insurance and you will receive cover as described under ‘Cruise optional cover’ in the PDS.

Please note that optional cover is only available if you purchase your travel insurance policy at travel.insurance.qantas.com or by calling 13 49 60.

This is a summary of cover and does not include the full terms, conditions, limits / sub-limits and exclusions. Please read the applicable PDS for full details including what we mean by ‘cruise’, as well as what is and is not covered.
