What are the set benefits for commonly claimed physiotherapy services?

If you visit a non-First Choice physiotherapy provider from 13 January 2027, you’ll receive a set benefit towards eligible physiotherapy services. The table below shows the set benefit amountsˣ for some commonly claimed physiotherapy items. It doesn’t include every physiotherapy treatment or item. Before treatment, ask your physiotherapist for a quote with the item numbers and fees for your planned treatment. That way you'll know roughly what to expect out of pocket before you book with a non-First Choice network physiotherapist. First Choice providers have agreed fees with nib, helping give you more certainty about your out-of-pocket costs. Non-First Choice providers set their own fees, so your out-of-pocket cost may vary depending on the provider’s fee, the service you receive and your level of cover.
