What determines your premium?
Your health insurance premium is based on a few key factors, including your chosen level of cover, who’s included on your policy, and any applicable government incentives or loadings. Importantly, private health insurance in Australia is community rated. This means that, regardless of an individual's age, health status, or claims history, everyone in the same state pays the same base price for the same product.
