I don't see a First Choice network optical provider. Am I still covered?

Yes. You can keep using your current recognised optical provider and your optical cover and annual limit will stay the same. From 13 January 2027, you’ll receive a set benefit amount towards each eligible optical item if your provider isn’t in the First Choice network. Ask your optical provider for a quote before purchasing so you can check what you may get back and what you may need to pay out of pocket.

We’re continuing to grow the First Choice optical network, which already includes more than 900 providers across Australia. If your current optical provider isn’t in the network yet, it’s worth checking back, as we’re adding more providers over time. They can also register their interest in joining the First Choice network directly with us.
