How the Australian Government Rebate adjustment will impact your premium
The Australian Government Rebate (AGR) on private health insurance is an amount that the Federal Government pays towards your health cover to help make it more affordable and accessible for everyone. You currently receive this as a reduction on your premium. From 1 April 2025 the Federal Government is reducing the rebate, which will increase your health cover premium. Find out more about the AGR visit the Government website.
