My luggage has been lost in transit, what do I do?

Firstly, report the lost luggage to your transport provider. They should be able to provide you with a report or reference number and advise you of their process to follow up. You’ll also need to provide this to us if you go on to make a claim for your luggage.

If your bags are delayed by six (6) hours and more, then you may have a claim for baggage delay to cover the essential items you need in the short-term. There are limits and sub-limits to this benefit. See the PDS for full details, limits / sub-limits and exclusions.

If your transport provider confirms your lost baggage cannot be found, then you can claim under the policy. The insurer will need to see evidence of the compensation provided by the service provider if any.

Remember to always keep records of your trips including any delayed times, receipts for any payments you make and, and wherever possible request written reports from providers.
