Why we're making this change to how some dental benefits are paid

This change is designed to make dental benefits easier to understand before treatment and help you better predict out-of-pocket costs. It also helps manage rising healthcare costs so we can continue delivering value through your cover over time. Our partner, nib, continues to invest in the First Choice network so members have more choice and access to No Gap preventative dental care. Members who use a First Choice dental provider will continue to receive percentage-based benefits and access to No Gap preventative dental at participating providers.^

^Dental benefits are subject to Fund Rules, waiting periods and annual/service limits. A dental check-up includes an examination/consultation (011-015), diagnostics (022, 037), scale and clean (114, 115), plaque removal (111), and fluoride treatment (121) as deemed necessary by the dentist (excludes dentures). The No Gap offer applies only to No Gap First Choice providers, cannot be combined with other offers/government schemes, and is not redeemable for cash.
