What are the set benefits for commonly claimed optical items?

If you visit a non-First Choice optical provider from 13 January 2027, you’ll receive a set benefit towards eligible optical items. The table below shows the set benefit amountsˣ for some commonly claimed optical items.  Before you purchase, ask your optical provider for item numbers and prices for the items you plan to buy. This will help you understand what you may get back and any out-of-pocket costs before you purchase. Non-First Choice providers set their own prices, so your out-of-pocket cost will depend on what they charge for your items.
