Add Snow Sports Cover from $20 for a domestic trip and $58 for an international trip.
Snow Sports Cover is an optional add-on available with Qantas Travel Insurance policies, designed to help protect you from unexpected costs associated with skiing, snowboarding or other snow-based activities.
This cover is available with our Australian Comprehensive, International Comprehensive and Annual Multi Trip policies, and can provide cover for:
Overseas medical expenses: If you’re injured during a snow sports activity, you may be insured for emergency overseas medical costs.
Snow sports equipment: If your snow sports equipment is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged and unusable during your trip, Snow Sports Cover can help reimburse your loss.
Pre-paid costs: Injured or too ill to enjoy the slopes? Snow Sports Cover can help cover pre-paid expenses like lift passes, ski or snowboard lessons, and hired gear you can no longer use.
Equipment hire: If your snow sports equipment is lost, damaged or stolen during your trip, you may be insured to hire replacement equipment.
Closure of the ski field: Weather can sometimes interfere with snow sports activities, and either too much or too little snow can shut down the slopes. If ski field closures impact your trip, you may be entitled to a lump sum for each day of closure, for up to five days.
24/7 Emergency assistance: If you need help while overseas, the emergency assistance team is available 24/7, supported by a global network of providers, including doctors.
