If you have an accident and your car is not able to be driven, don’t worry - we won’t leave you stranded. We’ll cover any reasonable costs to recover, relocate, tow and store your car.
If your car is stolen or damaged due to theft, we’ll cover you for a similar hire car up to $1,000 (limit 14 days)
If we accept your claim for a No Fault Accident, we will arrange and pay the daily cost for a similar hire car for you to use until your car is repaired or your claim is paid, whichever occurs first. This benefit is subject to the availability of a hire car.
If your car keys or remote are stolen and not recovered, and you report the loss to police, we’ll pay up to $1,500 to replace and recode the locks.
If you have a collision while towing your caravan or trailer, we’ll pay for any damages up to $1,000.
If your car is damaged and unable to be driven, we will pay up to $200 per day (up to $1,000 in total) for temporary accommodation or transport (including flights) for you and your passengers.
You are covered for up to $750 for personal items that are damaged in a car accident or stolen from your car.

1 Customers who purchase a Qantas Car Insurance policy between 01/03/21 and 02/05/21 will earn up to 30,000 sign on Qantas Points. 30,000 is the maximum number of sign on Qantas Points that can be earned on annual premiums $1,550 or over. Each Qantas Car Insurance policy has a maximum number of points that can be earned upon purchase, which can be found here. Points will only be awarded to the primary policyholder after the policy has been held for 60 continuous days. The number of points awarded will be based on the premium of the policy at the expiry of the 60-day period. Sign on Qantas Points are not available for any insurance policy purchased for a vehicle that has been insured by the primary policyholder through Qantas Car Insurance at any time in the 6 months prior to policy purchase date. Qantas may withdraw this offer at any time.
2 The Qantas Wellbeing Program is accessed through the Qantas Wellbeing App (the App). The App is offered by Qantas and you must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) program and 13 years of age or over to use the App. Conditions apply. You must be a member of the QFF program to earn Qantas Points. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the QFF Terms and Conditions. A joining fee usually applies. However, this will be waived if you join when you download the App. Each Qantas Insurance policy has a maximum number of Qantas Points that can be earned each year through the App. To earn 1,600 Qantas Points in a 12 month period, the primary policyholder of a Qantas Car Insurance policy must complete one car service, four tyre pressure checks and reach their sleep goal 6 out of every 10 days, and record this in the Qantas Wellbeing App.
