Qantas Airways Limited (Qantas) and AIG Australia Limited (AIG) issue this collection notice jointly with respect to the Qantas Travel Insurance quote and application process.
The protection of your personal information is very important to us.
Qantas and AIG and their related bodies corporate collect information from you for various purposes relevant to providing you with products and services and to run our businesses, in accordance with both the Qantas Privacy Policy and the AIG Privacy Policy. Such purposes include making decisions (automated or non-automated) on whether to provide insurance and assistance services, and other products and services we offer. We may also use your personal information to carry out research and analysis, including data analytics and for the purposes of detecting, preventing and investigating crime. Please refer to the aforementioned policies for the full list of purposes.
Without this information, we may not be able to provide these products and services to you.
Your information may be disclosed to other people involved with the provision of these products and services as set out in the Qantas Privacy Policy and the AIG Privacy Policy.
These other people may include:
our affiliates;
any insurance intermediary involved in the transaction;
consultants, agents, contractors and service providers, and those that act as data processors, auditors or external advisers for Qantas or AIG;
other parties who may be involved in your care; and
other insurers, for the purpose of seeking claims recoveries or to assist them to assess insurance risks. We may also obtain information about you from some of the above where necessary.
The Qantas Privacy Policy and AIG Privacy Policy contain information about the rights you may have in relation to your Personal Information as well as information about how you can make a privacy complaint and how the complaint will be handled.
Your information may be held in overseas locations.
