Qantas Health Insurance wins Best Basic Hospital Insurance at Finder Awards 2022

Qantas Health Insurance was recognised as the winner of the Basic Hospital Insurance Policy at the Finder Insurance Awards for 2022. It’s also a finalist in the Silver Hospital Insurance Policy category.

Looking into the details, it’s clear to see why Qantas Health Insurance scooped the top prize for its entry-level health cover. While some basic-tier hospital policies will only cover the bare minimum of services, Qantas Health Insurance offers 8 hospital treatments - including dental surgery, joint reconstruction and gynaecology.

Customers are also able to choose between an excess of $500 and $750, offering flexibility when it comes to managing those monthly insurance payments.  For each health insurance category, Finder assessed 38 coverable treatment categories and looked at policies from all states and territories across 4 life stages: single, couple, family and single parent.

Finder also recognised Qantas Health Insurance as a finalist for its Silver Hospital plan, which includes 32 hospital services and can meet a wide range of health needs.

It includes all the services offered with its Basic Hospital and Bronze Hospital policies, but also offers cover for high-cost treatments for example heart conditions, varicose veins, hearing device implantation and plastic surgery where medically necessary. As well, customers also have the flexibility to opt for a Silver Plus Hospital plan to get even more services covered.

In addition to Qantas Health Insurance’s quality and competitively priced cover, many people will appreciate the generous Qantas Points offered when they sign up to any policy, including Qantas Health Insurance’s Basic Hospital or Silver Hospital plan. As well earning 1 Qantas Point for every $1 spent on their premium.
