Can I stay on my family’s policy after the age of 25 once I’ve completed my full-time studies?

A dependant can stay on their family's policy past the age of 25 as a non-student dependant if they have finished their full-time studies, meet the eligibility criteria, and pay an additional premium if required.

To be eligible, you must satisfy the following requirements as a non-student dependant. You must:

  1. not be the policyholder;
  2. be aged between 21 and up to 31 years;
  3. not be studying full time;
  4. not be married or in a de facto relationship;

To be added as a non-student dependant to the policy, the policyholder (or spouse with authority on the policy) just needs to call us on 13 49 60 to make the changes. Please note that when adding a dependant to a policy, there may be an additional premium required which we can confirm at the time of the request.
